The Nexus S has been creating huge waves in the mobile markets with all that it has to offer users. Vodafone UK seems to be banking on this popularity and recently announced the upcoming launch of the Google Nexus S in the color white along with the original black variant.
The Nexus S has a 4″ WVGA super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. The device hosts a 5MP AF for users who love freezing those special moments. Other basic features of the phone include Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, a 3.5mm headset jack, microUSB 2.0 and more.
This device runs on a 1,500mAh Li-ion battery and users can talk their heart out for approximately 7 hours on 3G networks or 14 hours on 2G. The standby time offered by the handset is around 17 days on 3G networks or 29 days on 2G. It is based on the Android 2.3 platform or Gingerbread and offers 16GB iNAND flash memory.
It has also been claimed that Vodafone UK will become the first operator to offer the Nexus S, a smartphone running on Gingerbread. Details regarding the pricing of the device or accompanying plans are not available right now.
