Motorola Atrix up for March 17 launch in Canada

Motorola Atrix BellThe Motorola Atrix was last seen making headlines when AT&T exclusively put it up for pre-sales on February 13. Motorola and Bell Mobility have recently announced that the Motorola Atrix will be released through Bell Mobility network for Canadian consumers.

The Motorola Atrix runs on a dual-core processor and is powered by the Android v2.2 OS. This stylish handset boasts of a 4” high-resolution qHD display to enjoy videos and pictures with clarity. It jackets both front and rear facing cameras for photography enthusiasts to capture those special moments.

“Canadians will have access to the all-powerful superphone and innovative accessories with the Motorola Atrix,” shared Jeff Miller, corporate vice president, Motorola. “Through our partnership with Bell, Canadians will get top-of-the-line mobile services and content on the Motorola Atrix.”

The phone sports an 11mm thin profile and comes equipped with a 1930mAh battery that ensures extended talk time and standby. This gadget’s Motoblur feature provides better SNS integration along with the ability to locate the device in case it gets lost.

“The Motorola Atrix is a high-performance super-smartphone that takes full advantage of Bell’s world-leading 4G broadband mobile network,” commented Adel Bazerghi, senior vice president of products at Bell Mobility. “Operating exclusively on Canada’s Best Network, the Motorola Atrix is powerful enough to meet the mobile computing and multimedia demands of both Bell business and consumer clients.”

The mobile phone comes packed with an interesting biometric fingerprint reader attribute for easy unlocking aimed at offering extra security. With an internal memory of 16GB the device includes a microSD card slot expandable by up to 32GB.

It supports Adobe Flash Player for delivering enhanced web browsing experience to its users. Additional accessories such as Motorola Lapdock and Motorola HD Multimedia Dock are also offered to prospective buyers.

Bell Mobility clients across Canada can buy the Motorola Atrix for $169.95 (approx Rs. 7,629.06) on a three year term coupled with a $50 (approx Rs. 2,245) data plan. Users wishing to purchase the handset with no term plan will have to shell out a sum of $599.95 (approx Rs. 26,932).
