The rugged PCD Wrangler phone slated to be released through U.S. Cellular claims to withstand extreme temperature, dust, bumps and spill. The phone adorning a clamshell form factor is designed for users with an active on-the-go lifestyle.

The phone’s 2.2-inch QVGA color display with 240 x 320p resolution is said to be resistant to scratches. Additionally, it sports a 1.2-inch OLED external display. The lightweight chassis weighs 4.9oz while measures 3.80 x 1.90 x 0.60 inches. The handset featuring a 1.3MP camera is packed with basic attributes such as speed dial, WAP browser, Mobile email, text and picture messaging. Also included are recorder, speakerphone and audio player enabling users to enjoy music.

The Bluetooth enabled device helps with navigation as it is inclusive of GPS functionality and even recognizes voices. The microSD card slot lets users expand the memory by up to 4GB. The CDMA device fulfills requirements to acquire the IP67 Standard and offer resistance to shock, dust, water and extreme weather conditions.

The Wrangler is powered by a 800mAh battery which is capable of providing a talk time of up to 4 hours and a stand-by time spanning over 8.3 days. The feature rich device is packaged along with accessories like standard battery, USB or wall charger, additional USB cable, a headset and a manual to assist users with getting started.

The PCD Wrangler phone has not been assigned an official release date and price but users can expect it to arrive before the end of this month through U.S. Cellular. It will be available through the carrier’s stores and the official website.
