With a slide-out QWERTY keypad, the Motorola Cliq rocked our charts in the year 2009. Before the end of 2010, the news about the Cliq 2 has already started buzzing in the tech realm since its pictures appeared on CellPhoneSignal.
The gorgeous looking handset is said to be the next high-end device from Motorola after the Defy. It is also known as the Begonia. The tech specs of the Android-powered smartphone include a full QWERTY slide keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, aGPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n and 5MP camera with LED flash. A new version of MotoBlur with fresh widgets and seamless Wi-Fi calling are also possibly planked in.
Interestingly, the leaked snapshots display uniquely designed keys on the keyboard, just like a honeycomb. On that note, it’s still unsure that which of the supposed Froyo, Gingerbread or Honeycomb Android operating systems will the device feature. T-Mobile is slated to concentrate on HSPA+ in the next year, this suggests the probable addition of this characteristic too.
