Nokia N8 starts shipping now

Nokia N8 Smartphone Nokia N8 admirers who have already pre-ordered the handset for the obvious reasons of attractive features have just got great news. The company has now started shipping the N8 smartphone with Ovi services.

The first offering from the new Symbian portfolio allows users to seamlessly multitask and simultaneously run several apps. Photography enthusiasts can delight on its 12MP camera featuring Carl Zeiss optics for sharper clarity. Adorning a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, the eye-pleasing device enables owners to edit photos and videos on-screen as well as share them instantly on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or RenRen through the homescreen.

“With the N8, and the new Symbian software, we are bringing a familiar, faster and more intuitive user experience to the world’s most popular smartphone platform. The Nokia N8 has received the highest amount of consumer pre-orders in Nokia history and we are thrilled to start shipments of the N8, the first of Nokia’s new Symbian smartphone range,” shared Jo Harlow, Senior Vice President, Smartphones, Nokia.

Filled with entertainment features, the latest Nokia N8 handset renders WebTV apps from channels like E! Entertainment, National Geographic and CNN. Multimedia zealots can watch high-definition videos on the smartphone, while augmented acoustics are delivered by Dolby Digital Plus Surround Sound. Further, Ovi services including beta release of Ovi Maps is also bundled in.

The new Nokia N8 smartphone will be available across the globe in the coming weeks with an estimated retail price of EUR 370 (approx Rs. 22,700).
