After a series of Android based phones, Samsung yet again brings in its all new Android-enabled device dubbed Acclaim SCH-r880. This phone has been launched across the US through U.S. Cellular to offer another option in the already glimmering stock of fully-featured mobile phones.
This latest offering from Samsung has been embedded with smartphone-like attributes such as slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-inch touchscreen, and the novel 2.1 Android platform. Embedded with 3MP camera and camcorder, it enables users to click clear and astounding images and videos. The LED Flash and auto focus feature of the camera help to enhance the picture quality.

The QWERTY keyboard of the handset helps fasten the user’s speed to type and send messages. It also makes it possible for users to swiftly and smoothly upload their pictures and messages online through Social Networking Sites such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. In addition, U.S. Cellular customer will benefit from pre-loaded apps including U.S. Cellular customers free voice-prompted turn-by-turn navigation system, My Contacts Backup, City ID, Tone Room Deluxe and Your Navigator Deluxe amongst others.
The Samsung Acclaim is outfitted with features that enable users to stay connected on-the-go. It is implanted with stereo Bluetooth capabilities and has been devised to attune with Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Wi-Fi features. The device facilitates users to auto sync their personal and business e-mail and contacts through Microsoft Exchange. The mobile phone also offers a full range of Google services including Google Search, Gmail and Google Talk. The Acclaim allows one-touch access to the Android Market to download newer apps including Google Goggles and Google Maps with navigation.
Users can personalize their phones with the help of the specially designed widgets. It will also permit instant access to favorite user apps and functions. With a memory space of 4GB, the phone’s storage space can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD support.
The price and availability details of the Samsung Acclaim have not been disclosed yet.
