Picture a barbecue party, everyone’s laughing and giggling and we capture some million-dollar expressions on our mobile phone. These fun-filled snapshots sure need to be shared, that too urgently. Well, Intex has now crafted something marvelous for times like these, the V.Show handset. Claimed to be the first phone in India with projection capabilities, this bohemian device was lately unveiled by actor Prachi Desai.

Users can just project their favorite movies, pictures, music videos while having a gala time just relaxing on their own or with their friends. The spontaneous wishes of enjoying a theater-like movie experience can now turn true right across the living room couch. Owners can easily transfer several multimedia files on the mobile phone as well as playback content directly from the Internet. It provides a projection of up to 61 inches on screen or wall with a high intensity of 10 lumens with QWVGA resolution.

“Intex V.Show is in sync with the company’s aim of providing useful innovation and quality products to its consumers in keeping with its philosophy of launching Life Version 2.0 products. It symbolizes our technological advancement and continued focus on R&D,” pointed out Ramesh A. Vaswani, Executive Vice Chairman, Intex Technologies. “I am confident that Intex V.Show change the way people watch movies, videos, picture galleries and even read e-Books on their mobile phones. If positioned judiciously, it could emerge as a powerful infotainment tool too. We are in touch with leading chip development companies of the world for future enhancements in this model.”

The Intex V.Show mobile phone renders a film quality of up to 25fps which is said to be as good as the fps used in movies. Tagging along the dual concept, it comes with dual SIM (GSM + GSM), dual screen mode for phone and projector display, dual camera, and dual card memory slots that are expandable up to 8GB each. The 3.2” dust resistant touchscreen offering features 64MB internal memory, and a wireless- and wire-enabled FM radio.

“With the launch of the V.Show, this is one more attempt to consciously demonstrate that our mobiles can do more than just voice and message. The idea behind coming out with a projector phone is to present a ‘mobile theater’ to the users. Over the next six months or so we will be coming up with various innovative and niche offerings to keep the brand name top-of-mind in the consumers’ minds,” quoted Vinayak Kumar Lal, General Manager – Marketing, Intex Technologies.

Interestingly, the ‘mobile theater’ experience is taken a step ahead with the inclusion of a tripod stand, GPRS connectivity and Bolt mobile Internet browser. The clarity adjustor just below the projector lens allows users to modify the distance and quality of images according to their comfort. Moreover, consumers can also capture stills from the movies and use them as wallpapers. The freedom of converting the screen output from portrait to landscape or vice versa is also proffered by the device.

The Intex V.Show handset can be snapped up for Rs. 16,000 in India.
