Samsung unveiled Galaxy S smartphone

Samsung Galaxy S At the International CTIA Wireless 2010, Samsung declared the global launch of its new innovation, the Galaxy S smartphone. The Galaxy S (model: GT-I9000) is an Android powered smartphone, sporting a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen.

Powered by 1GHz application processor, the Galaxy S brings to users vibrant HD videos on its large screen alongside rich augmented reality content via Layar Reality Browser, and advanced LBS (Location Based Services).

The Social Hub brings along always-on social networks connectivity for enhanced communication while the Galaxy S is also claimed to offer best-in-class services and technologies. Samsung’s Smart Life experience is said to change the way people view smartphones.

The Galaxy S provides rich multimedia and its 4-inch Super AMOLED display delivers unprecedented screen quality alongside less reflection, free viewing angles and super-fast touch-response. It also incorporates mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology for sharper and crisper viewing experience.

The various applications from Android Market allow users to further extend the benefits and excitement of smartphone experience. In addition, Google mobile services such as Google Search, Gmail, and Google Maps are made available.

Some of the salient features of the Galaxy S are instant access to news updates, inter-device connectivity via DLNA, music station, enables as a digital photo frame, table clock, calendar, and apps to view and edit Microsoft Office 2007 documents. The Galaxy S will soon be made available in Europe, North America, Latin America, Australia, and Asia.
