Docomo Smartphone Xperia

Ntt DoCoMo has taken the wraps off its docomo Smartphone Xperia which has been manufactured by Sony Ericsson Mobile and is also known as Xperia X10 outside Japan.

Based on Android operating system and powered by 1GHz CPU, the docomo Smartphone Xperia sports a 4.0-inch touchscreen in an all new entertainment package for intelligent mobile communication, web browsing, and more.

The handset comes with Mediascape, a Sony Ericsson signature application for intuitive organization of data. On pressing the new infinite button while playing a song, the app searches for all content related to the artist. Yet another signature Sony Ericsson application is the Timescape which intuitively organizes communication histories with each individual. Once the user presses the infinite button, Timescape offers one convenient view of all interactions with a particular individual, such as Twitter, Facebook and so on.

The docomo Smartphone Xperia also offers compatibility with FOMA High-Speed, DoCoMo’s HSUPA/HSDPA data-communication service for extra-fast 2.0 Mbps uplinks and 7.2 Mbps downlinks. The device is pre-loaded with Google services such as Google search, Google Maps and Gmail. Sony Ericsson’s unique predictive text-input system for Japanese and English POBox Touch 1.0 has been included in the docomo Smartphone Xperia.

The handset is also capable of intelligently recognizing and tagging about five faces from the photos stored in the phonebook with the phone’s 8.1 megapixel camera. The network provider will also introduce its docomo market which is a new mobile web portal for smartphone users. The docomo Smartphone Xperia is expected to hit shelves in Japan this April.
