AT&T to bring on LG Arena handset this March

Most entertainment buffs may agree that there’s nothing more welcoming than the idea of porting around their movies, music and similar content in their pocket. AT&T will offer the 7.2 HSPA and Mobile TV-capable LG Arena handset starting from March 7, 2010. Apart from that, the phone will also come with AT&T’s full HTML mobile browser, AT&T Navigator and AT&T Social Net.

The handset features a 3” WVGA touchscreen display and 3D S-Class UI that allows for easy navigation through its various functionalities. It integrates a 5MP AF camera with multiple messaging options, access to social networking sites and uploading of geo-tagged images or videos. LG’s latest offering boasts of a 0.5” slim profile with brushed and polished metal accents.

Those Arena users who subscribe to the AT&T’s Mobile TV service will be delivered around-the-clock access to full-length live and time-shifted programming from FLO TV. Customers will be able to enjoy entertainment content from brands such as ABC Family, ABC News, ABC Sports, CBS, CBS College Sports, CBS News, CNBC, ESPN 2, FOX, FOX News Channel, FUEL TV, msnbc, MTV, NBC, NBC 2Go, NBC News, NBC Sports, Nickelodeon and Crackle.

AT&T Mobile TV is available for $9.99 (approx. Rs.460) per month, with new subscribers being eligible to receive the first seven days of their subscription for free. The LG Arena will be out at $199.99 (approx. Rs.9,220) on a two-year customer contract basis.
