Here’s still more news from Samsung quarters after the Epic 4G we reported earlier today. The company has now unveiled an entire line of premium accessories for the Samsung Galaxy S including a compact desktop dock, vehicle dock and backup battery charging system.
The desktop dock which allows Galaxy S users to prop up their phones while enjoying entertainment content or using the speakerphone for hands-free calls also functions as a charger. It enables application downloads like Google Search by Voice or the Desk Home app. The last mentioned app is capable of intuitively tweaking brightness levels and offers one-touch access to Daily Briefing, alarm clock, music, pictures, movie gallery and local weather.
The Galaxy S portable vehicle dock lets users mount the phone to a car windshield or dashboard and receive turn-by-turn directions for hands-free GPS navigation. This lightweight accessory rotates between landscape and portrait modes and integrates a microUSB port for charging the phone. Google Search by Voice may be activated while the device is placed in the dock. There are multiple protective case options crafted in a range of patterns, fabrics and colors to choose from too.
The company’s charging solution encompasses three components like an additional 1500mAh battery, a spare battery charger with phone stand and a wall charger for charging the handset and spare battery separately. The backup charger’s small form factor allows it to be ported in a pocket while on the move. The accessories also include a three-pack screen protector set with anti-scratch, mirror and privacy screens as also Samsung’s WMG1602 Wi-Fi HD device that allows users to stream movies, music, and photos directly from a Galaxy S smartphone to an HDTV.
The pricing details are sketchy for now.
