Mobile phone users can now reap the benefits of subscribing to two network operators on a single device. Nokia has revealed its upcoming C series handsets which include the C1-00, C1-01 and C1-02. The C1-00 flaunts dual SIM functionality which allows users to switch easily between SIM cards by pressing down on a key.

Apart from integrating the Series 30 interface and a full color screen, the C1-00 is powered by a battery that provides up to six weeks of standby time. Users can store around 500 phonebook entries as well as approximately 250 text messages on the phone. Those who love their music can enjoy to FM radio through the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

Alex Lambeek, VP, Nokia, affirmed,” By simply holding down a key, people are able to switch between SIM cards, meaning that they can take advantage of reduced call rates, flexibility when traveling from one country to another, or being able to share a phone within a family and still use their own SIM card. This is a great added convenience feature, considering the low price of the phone.”

The C1-01 is fitted with a VGA camera and SD memory card that accommodates around 32GB of content. For music lovers, it comes with a music player and FM radio. The C1-02 delivers Ovi Mail and Chat, Bluetooth as well as the same SD memory card slot and music features as the C1-01.

Both handsets employ the Series 40 interface in elegantly classic bodies. They are designed to offer GPRS, dual-band ECSM and GSM connectivity. In select markets, the devices will be sold with Nokia’s Ovi Life Tools and Nokia Money.

The C1-00 is around 15mm thin and tips the scale at 73g. It will be out a choice of five colors, namely, blue, red, light grey and green. The Nokia C1-00 will be available for €30 (approx. Rs. 1,720) in the third quarter of 2010. The C1-01 and C1-02 are priced at €39 (approx. Rs. 2,230) and €35 (approx. Rs. 2,000), respectively.
