A Line-up of Mobile Phones launched by Vodafone

Vodafone is all set to make their mark in the mobile phone terrain with the launch of a wide range of handsets, ranging from a 3G-supported GPS phone, two 2G mobile phones and two entry-level stylish phones as well as two phones from the Catwalk Collection.

In the 3G range, Vodafone launches the first consumer GPS phone called the Vodafone 835. It features an integrated GPS with support for the Google Maps, Vodafone Find and Go navigation application. The slim candy-bar handset comes equipped with Vodafone’s mobile internet services for browsing and accessing e-mails on a 2.4-inch color display.

Other features of the GPS phone are Vodafone Music, Bluetooth, FM radio, enhanced memory space and a 2 megapixel camera with a second camera for video calls. Users are entitled to make use of email, MMS, Vodafone Messenger for instant messaging. It is housed in a premium silver metal finish.

Coming to the 2G range, the company introduces the candy-bar Vodafone 135 and Vodafone 235 mobile phones. While the 135 sports a short two line black and white display for easy calling and text messaging, the 235 employs a 1.5-inch color display. Apart from that, the 235 also comes embedded with a FM radio, vibrating alert, alarm clock, a speakerphone and headset jack. Shinning in black color, the phone offers polyphonic ring tone functionality and games.

Patrick Chomet, global director of terminals for Vodafone Group, commented, “In Europe we recognize the importance of keeping design fresh by introducing seasonal collections as well as making services like sat nav available on specifically designed, good value handsets. Such versatility of design will add further opportunity for us to continue to deliver on our data strategy.”

Next in the line are two entry-level phones called the Vodafone 735 and Vodafone 736. The Vodafone 736 mobile phone comes in a slider design with a screen size of a 2.0-inch color display, whereas the Vodafone 735 has the candy bar form factor with the same screen as that of the 736. Both phones boast similar functionalities such as Google Maps, Vodafone Music, Vodafone messenger, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio and memory card slot. The Vodafone 736 comes in rose, white and silver color shades and the Vodafone 735 is dressed in black.

To expand the row, Vodafone also announces two mobile phones from ‘Catwalk Collection’ that include the Vodafone 527 and the slider Vodafone 533. Both the models are unveiled in the lines of the popular Vodafone 527 Rainbow range of mobile phones. Feature wise, the two handsets incorporate a built-in camera, MMS, FM radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth and memory card slot. As for the Vodafone 527, it is dressed in violet, ice, rose, lemon and sky color tones. While the Vodafone 533 wears gold, candy, ice, violet and petrol colors.

Although the price is unannounced, all the above mentioned mobile phones from Vodafone are slated to roll out in Spring this year across Europe.
