Expanding its portfolio of rugged handsets, Rogers Wireless has announced the launch of two new mobile phones in Canada, namely the Samsung Rugby A836 and ZTE Rock F165.
The Samsung Rugby sports a highly-durable and damage resistant design. Moreover, the A836 meets the U.S Military Standard MIL-STD-810F standards and can withstand dust, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, solar radiation, altitude and temperature extremes.
Apart from that, it includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, 130 MB internal of memory with up to 8 GB expandable memory with micro SD, large external speaker, instant messaging, HTML browser and the ability to download and play music.
While the ZTE Rock packs in an extended antenna to provide stronger signal performance in remote areas, 176 x220 pixel display resolution, 128 MB onboard memory with support for up to 2GB microSD memory card and 2 megapixel camera.
It supports Rogers 3.5G HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) network with download speeds of 7.2 Mbps.
Exclusively available from Rogers Wireless, the Samsung Rugby and the ZTE Rock retails for $149.99 (approx. Rs. 7,340) and $79.99 (approx. Rs. 3,915), respectively with a three-year plan.
