LG GW550 released in South America and Asia

LG recently launched a full QWERTY handset known as the LG GW550 in South America and Asia. It seems that the Windows Mobile 6.5 powered smartphone bears significant resemblance with the Nokia E71.

According to UnwiredView, the handset sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display and a 3.2 megapixel camera. As far as connectivity features are concerned, the QWERTY handset offers GSM and HSDPA connectivity.

The LG GW550 offers support to MicroSD card slot and also incorporates A-GPS, Wi-Fi and push email functionalities. Apparently, the LG smartphone measures 116mm x 62mm x 12mm and it weighs around 125.5 grams. Seemingly, the Windows Mobile 6.5 handset is inclusive of Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, HSDPA 7.2Mbps as well as HSUPA 2Mbps. It may support MP3, MP4,AAC,AAC+,EAAC+ and WMA formats and also doc, xls, ppt and pdf document viewer.

Presently, the LG smartphone will be made available in Brazil and Argentina. The handset will be soon introduced in 20 countries including Middle East regions. Surprisingly, the list of tentative countries does not include any European nation. The pricing details of the LG GW550 are still under wraps.
