The all new E72 introduced by Nokia comes equipped with a host of new and advanced features. Optical scrolling, five-megapixel camera and QWERTY keyboard provide a gist of the advanced features. The E72 is said to incorporate the best features of the most successful QWERTY phones from Nokia.
The 10mm frame on the exterior has been refined to incorporate some sleek designs while the interior incorporates a host of interface improvements. To serve the Internet savvy users, the phone supports a 10.2Mbps speed via HSDPA connectivity. The camera has also been upgraded to 5 megapixel. The 3.5mm audio jack is now placed at the top of the device for added convenience.
The optical navigation key allows users to swiftly navigate between web-pages and menus. The E72 also supports Nokia Messaging along with instant messaging. It allows easy set-up of IM clients like Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Ovi and more. The Nokia Messaging service even allows easy e-mail set up along with Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Note Traveler.
The specifications include digital compass and active noise cancellation techniques which improves the sound quality. The space bar key doubles as a torch on/off key to provide one touch access. The incorporated Maps provide a lifetime walk and 10 days turn-by-turn navigation service, provided this service is activated within the first three months.
The Nokia E72 is expected to begin shipping by the end of the third quarter of this year and will be made available for a price of €350 (approx. Rs.23, 255).
