Samsung unveils its latest creation in the form of the Alias 2 that is available through Verizon. This double hinge, messaging flip handset features a unique high-tech electronic ink transforming keypad.

When held vertically, the phone flaunts basic numeric keypad which can also turn into an alpha keypad. When the handset is held horizontally, it features a QWERTY keypad which can be converted into a numeric one along with symbols.

The users can sync all corporate mails, calendars and contacts from their computer using the phone’s RemoSync application. One can enjoy visual voice mails with the Visual Voice Mail application.

This charcoal grey phone provides Bluetooth technology and 2 megapixel camera along with video capturing ability. Additionally, it comes with support for stereo, phonebook access, hands-free, headset, basic print and imaging, object push for vCard, vCalendar and serial port.

Samsung Alias 2 features include calculator, currency converter, notepad, world clock, alarm clock and a stopwatch. It facilitates text, IM, picture and video messaging. One can browse the web, check emails and download wallpapers, ring tones and videos from the net. The handset supports VZ navigator application. The phone has a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB memory.

Samsung Alias 2 is available through Verizon Wireless Communications Stores or at Verizon’s official website for $79.9 with a mail-in rebate of $50 and a two-year customer contract. The User can access the RemoSync application by paying $9.99/month, the VZ Navigator for $2.99/month and the Visual Voice mail facility for $2.99/month.
