Samsung Pixon 12 touchscreen phone with 12MP camera

Samsung Pixon 12 Samsung has announced the Pixon 12 touchscreen phone that boasts of a 12 megapixel camera. This phone is backed by a host of features that enable users to capture, browse and share their images with ease.

The Pixon 12 features a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Its camera houses a power key that provides one-touch access to the camera. This enables users to quickly and easily click perfect pictures. It comes equipped with superior quality lenses and Xenon flash. The touch auto-focus tracking selects the focus and then automatically follows the subject to keep it in focus. The Smart Auto feature automatically changes the scene and mode depending on the subject’s background and lighting conditions. The 28mm wide angle lens renders a better perspective.

Speedy access to the camera mode, fast shutter speed and quick browsing are some of the key factors consumers are looking for in their mobile phone cameras” said Executive Vice President JK Shin, Head of Mobile Communication Division in Samsung Electronics. He added, “We are very pleased to introduce the world’s first 12-megapixel camera phone that holds the answer to these pressing consumer needs.”

The 3.1-inch screen of this Samsung phone makes viewing images easy and fun. The phone comes with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and various power saving functions that increase the battery life. The Pixon also allows users to organize their images in various ways while the multi-selection feature lets users view and edit photos in groups.

The device also supports Internet connectivity and allows users to upload photos to various sites like Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket and Friendster. The phone also supports Wi-Fi and HSUPA connections.

The Samsung Pixon 12 will be made available in the European countries by the end of this month, followed by other countries in August. The pricing details are still to be disclosed.
