Vodafone and LG have teamed up to launch a new Windows Mobile 6.5 based handset called the LG GM750. The launch date for this handset has been set for next month. The launch of this handset has taken us by surprise, as we were expecting to see the recently leaked LG GW880. Anyways, this fully loaded and easy-to-use phone claims to be good to the core.

The GM750 feature fast Internet browsing that allows users to stay connected with their loved ones all the time. The phone uses Vodafone’s mobile broadband network or Wi-Fi to stay connected to the Internet. This slim and sleek smartphone incorporates S-Class user interface and 3-inch full touchscreen. LG also throws in a GPS navigation function to assists travelers.

The user interface that runs on the Windows operating system is easily customizable and allows users to add a personal touch to their phone. Third-party applications can be used to change the looks and feel of the handset. Users can also add personal background or designer themes to personalize the homescreen. The Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync e-mail ensures to keep the user updated about each incoming mail. The smartphone allows users to take full advantage of future Vodafone services.

Apart from Internet and e-mail connectivity, the GM750 also provides access to Windows Marketplace for Mobile. The Windows Marketplace allows users to download applications directly to their handsets. The other feature of this smartphone include 5 megapixel camera, automatic backup and support for services like My Phone and Windows Live.

Vodafone will initially release this handset in only seven countries including Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the UK starting October 6. The company will also provide the phone in France via SFR. The handset will soon be launched in other countries too. The pricing details of this phone are well guarded by the company.
