Sprint rolls out HTC Touch Pro-2

HTC had created quite a craze with their series of handsets and now they plan to work the magic yet again. Here comes their latest HTC Pro-2, which has been built on a ‘no-compromise’ policy, so claims the company.

This handset shall supply the productivity of Windows Mobile 6.1 along with a vibrant Touch FLO user interface and other applications that include, Sprint TV that will offer live on-demand programming. This handset brings something exclusive for the sports fans, its one of a kind sports application that will present NFL Mobile Live and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile.

This gadget comes with the best-in-class features such as its large 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen with variable-angle tilting. This handset also offers slide out keyboard that has evolved and is thus larger than its predecessor. This device will now ensure that users stay connected while on the go with high speed connectivity that it provides with Sprint’s 3G network Wi-Fi. This mobile broadband network reaches over 271 million people in 18,652 cities and 1,838 airports.

Sprint has also come with it’s ‘simply everything’ plan. This plan will now offer unlimited nationwide calling, texting, e-mail, social networking, Web browsing, GPS navigation, and more at just $99.99 per month. This plan also comes with unlimited messaging and various other offers.

This device is equipped with the latest version of HTC’s Hallmark Touch FLO 3D user interface. The user can now easily switch from an e-mail to call.

The other features packed in this handset include International Quad-Band capability, Straight Talk Technology with dual speakers and dual microphones with a mute button that provides a professional speakerphone experience. Besides, the handset also comes bundled with a full HTML browser, Bluetooth wireless technology and a WorldCard Mobile Business Card Scanner with Facebook integration and Linked inboxes.

This device has an auto-focus 3.2 megapixel camera/camcorder and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The HTC Pro-2 comes with a price tag of $349.99 (approx Rs.17,145) along with a two-year service agreement and after $100 mail-in rebate. This handset can be purchased from 8 September at sprint.com.
