Mobile Phones are More Dangerous Than Cigarettes, says Study

One of the most revolutionary communication tools of the 20th century – the mobile phone may have many advantageous functions, making it life simpler for most individuals. However, the risk on life is equally high. Earlier, there have been many case-studies stating that mobile phones are injurious to children’s health and could lead to cancer in adults. In addition, it can even lead to low sperm quality, so on and so forth.

Phone and Cigarette

A new study conducted by Professor Vini Khurana, a top Australian neurosurgeon, concluded that prolonged exposure to mobile phones could be a greater threat to human health than smoking and asbestos. He carried out the research for 15-months, where he critically reviewed the link between mobile phones and malignant brain tumors.

It was noticed that using mobile phones for over 10 years could more than double the risk of brain cancer. Further on, mobile phone radiation might also result in neighboring tissue damage.

However, more in-depth work needs to be conducted before the link between mobile phone usage and tumors is proven. This can surely be considered as a warning for almost all individuals around the world and help in progressing towards a healthy life.
