AT&T releases Moto Q Global with Windows Mobile 6.1 Smartphone

Motorola announced AT&T as an exclusive network operator for the latest Windows-based smartphone, named MOTO Q Global.

The Windows Mobile 6.1-compliant smartphone is embedded with GPS via AT&T’s network, 3G connectivity and Motorola’s signature CrystalTalk technology for a clear sound quality, and threaded SMS for chat-like texting.

Juergen Stark, corporate vice president of Productivity, Mobile Devices, Motorola, Inc, mentioned, “Consumers have been clamoring for a single device with the most advanced Windows Mobile software to keep them connected, informed and entertained, all while looking sleek and sharp. Motorola is proud to provide AT&T customers with one of the first devices featuring Windows Mobile 6.1, and the unparalleled smart phone experience of our MOTO Q Global.”

Encased in a pinstripe design, the MOTO Q Global possesses Good Mobile Messaging, an Opera browser, an integrated BlackBerry Connect and Documents To Go from DataViz to let users access Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF files.

Other than that, the elegant smartphone incorporates Windows Media Player, 256MB flash and 96 MB RAM along with up to 32GB of optional microSD card. Users will also find a 2.0 megapixel image-recorder and TV-out. The phone is said to be GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900 compliant.

The new MOTO Q Global Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone comes with a price tag of $150 with a two-year contract. Consumers need to visit AT&T retail stores to purchase the smartphone.
