New Nokia 6300i Handset allows Internet Calling via Mobile VoIP

Nokia 6300i phone Calling over Internet by using Mobile VoIP is the most effective way of communicating to loved ones who are on the other side of the world. Nokia has now taken a step further and has integrated a VoIP (Voice over IP) client onto its GSM mobile phone, the Nokia 6300i. This makes it easier for users to browse, download applications and make VoIP calls seamlessly.

Offering VoIP, high-speed WLAN Internet connection, users get to make up to two thousand VoIP calls. The home and mobile numbers are listed side-by-side and dedicated WLAN and VoIP symbols show the connection status and type of phone call, whether it is using GSM network or VoIP.

Besides, a 2-inches QVGA TFT display, 2.0-megapixel camera, expandable memory, built-in MP3 player and FM radio along with 30 MB internal memory and 512 MB microSD card are also included. A Nokia Maps, WidSets and Download! allows users to get information whenever needed.

Expected to start shipping in Q2 2008, the VoIP-enabled Nokia 6300i phone would be priced at EUR 175, before taxes and subsidies.
