Nokia launches 2600 Classic and 1209 Mobile Phones

Nokia 2600 classic and Nokia 1209 Mobile Phones Nokia has unveiled two new handsets, called the Nokia 2600 Classic and Nokia 1209.
The Nokia 2600 Classic provides easy-to-use and useful features along with a wide range of colors or fully changeable Xpress-on covers. It features MP3 ring tones, FM radio and a VGA camera.

Developed to offer phone sharing ease and convenience, the Nokia 1209 bundles a pre-paid tracker, a cost-tracking application and a multiple phonebook that gives the freedom to up to five people to store personal contact lists of up to two hundred numbers on a single handset.

It also integrates the company’s intuitive user interface, dust resistance and provides up to 80 languages. The phone comes with a one-piece key mat that offers durability and reliability.

According to Alex Lambeek, Vice President, Entry Devices, Nokia, mentioned, “Nokia has developed a number of innovative features like the multiple phonebook to support phone sharing, and we have added technologies like Bluetooth to some models to make transferring images and ringtones easy and affordable.”

Nokia’s 2600 classic has starting shipping and is expected to roll out in Q1 of 2008 for approximately 65 euros (approx. Rs. 3,715) before applicable taxes or subsidies. The Nokia 1209 is slated to hit the market worldwide during the Q2 of 2008 at the suggested price of approximately 35 euros (approx. Rs. 2,000) before applicable taxes or subsidies.
