Palringo messaging services on Blackberry smartphones

Palringo on Blackberry smartphone Palringo messaging services are now available on Blackberry smartphones. Palringo offers functionality of PC-based IM services called Rich Messaging Services (RMS) to the RIM’s BlackBerry Pearl, BlackBerry 8800 series and BlackBerry Curve.

The new Palringo services allow the BlackBerry smartphone users to chat using voice, picture messages and traditional text. They can also utilize the Palringo interface to chat with other PC based IM services like AOL’s AIM, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk.

“As users increasingly expect to take their applications with them wherever they go, they also expect to pack them into fewer devices,” said Kerry Ritz, CEO. “By putting our rich messaging service on the BlackBerry platform, we at Palringo increase messaging reach and depth for the greatest number of users. We also reduce the number of installed applications they need to have on their mobile device or PC.”

Palringo eliminates the need to switch between various IM tools by combining all the contacts of the user from various services into a single one. It lets you combine the real-time text functionality of IM, walkie-talkie style vocal instant messaging and the ability to share pictures into a single threaded discussion.

You can set up unlimited number of groups as well as send a voice, text or picture message to everyone in the group. The Palringo services occupy small amount of data and comes at a reasonable price.

The Blackberry version of Palringo services is available for free download from the Palringo website. This service is also compatible with Symbian, Windows Mobile and Java-based clients.
