Alcatel OT-E206a Phone announced by O2

Alcatel OT-E206a Phone O2 Wireless has unveiled an Alcatel mobile phone, dubbed OT-E206a in the U.S. It boasts to be the first Alcatel handset to be approved by a major GSM carrier in the US. O2 Wireless is the first US based MVNO to offer it.

The features of the Alcatel OT-E206a mobile phone include:

  • Bluetooth
  • Or Wi-Fi

We look forward to working with them to launch additional handset models in the near future,” noted Pete Grubb, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Locus Telecommunications.

    Besides, you will also find vibration notification, SMS messaging, two preloaded games and support for a lithium-ion battery that offers 5 hours of talk time and 250 hours (10 days) of standby. However, the phone does not support EDGE or GPRS data connectivity or a USB port.

    The Alcatel OT-E206a handset is expected to release soon after the prepaid plan is in place. No word on its price.
