BlackBerry Bold Smartphones Available in the US, exclusively via AT&T

BlackBerry Bold, AT&T logo The recently launch BlackBerry Bold smartphone gets an exclusive carrier for its US launch. AT&T has announced that they have exclusive rights to unwrap RIM’s BlackBerry Bold smartphone, which is also named as 9000 in America.

Being the only US network operator for the Bold, AT&T will offer international 3G capabilities to the consumers, allowing them to utilize their BlackBerry in a few countries that includes Japan and South Korea. Coming to the domestic usage, the leading carrier boasts that its 3G network is currently available in over 270 leading US markets.

Users will appreciate the average uplink speeds between 500 and 800 kilobits per second (Kbps) and typical downlink speeds of 600 to 1,400 Kbps.

Apart from AT&T’s service, the 9000 phone comes equipped with high-end features, making it a useful device for business professionals who are on a constant traveling spree.

AT&T will start shipping the BlackBerry Bold later this year. No idea when the handset is going to roll out in the Asian regions.
