Levi-Strauss Mobile Phone Introduced by Fly Mobile

Fly Mobile, an Eastern European mobile phone network operator, has unveiled its new Levis-Strauss mobile phone, which itself explains that it comes encrusted with Levi-Strauss logo etched on its metallic back side, and tiny bolts around its perimeter, front and back. This 4-ounce unit is only available in Russia and to Fly Mobile’s customers.

The stylish luxurious branded phone features a 1.76-inch screen with resolution of 220×176 pixels along with a 2-megapixel camera to capture still and moving pictures in 1,600-1,200 resolution. It supports both MPEG4 and 3GP (H.263) formats while shooting.

With an internal memory of 64 MB, it also allows the MicroSD slot to enhance the storage capacity. It also includes:

  • A USB port simplifies data transfer and storage
  • Media player – compatibility with MID, IMY, WAV, AMR, AAC, and MP3
  • Ability to record and play video
  • FM radio
  • A 300-name phone directory
  • Users can associate a melody and photo with each name with the help of an integrated image editor. In context to connectivity, it incorporates WAP 2.0 or GPRS class 8 for Internet access, doubles as GPRS modem, Bluetooth 1.2 A2DP interface and support for GSM 900 networks along with DCS 1800/1900.

    Fly Mobile’s Levi-Strauss handset will cost around $520 (approx. Rs. 20,800).
