iPhone is Out-of-Stock in UK, confirms O2

iPhone Sold Out

The price cut has been so profitable to O2, the official distributor of the iPhone in UK, and Apple, that the iPhone is no longer available in the region. It is not due to any legal dispute. But, the sales have grown so much that both, the 8GB as well as the 16GB models, have gone out of stock.

O2 has confirmed the news that the iPhone is currently not available anywhere in the UK, and the device will not re-appear. This suggests that customers might have to wait for the 3G Apple iPhone, which is scheduled to release on 9th June.

Last month, Apple slashed the 8GB iPhone’s price to £169 in preparation for the release of a 3G iPhone. Sadly, there is no definite UK release date for the 3G iPhone.

The other iPhone distributor, Carphone Warehouse hasn’t officially confirmed on the current iPhone’s availability situation.

We hope that the Apple iPhone starts its distribution before it loses its importance.
