T-Mobile G1 Android Phone and Meebo

The world’s first Android-based mobile phone – T-Mobile G1 now gets a support for an online networking platform, called Meebo.

The Web’s live communications platform is now available for T-Mobile’s G1 phone through the Android market, allowing users to enjoy a free and open instant messaging capability.

“We are excited to provide Meebo users and Android enthusiasts with a new way to connect live with their friends. Enabling access to Meebo on the go means that more and more people will think ‘Meebo’ for open communications whether they are at their at home, work, school or none of the above!” said Seth Sternberg, founder and CEO, Meebo.

Meebo offers a host of features for users to enjoy chatting with their loved ones on T-Mobile G1. It offers simple access to all the users’ IM accounts through a single login and single buddy list, a fun and simple IM experience similar to the PC experience, and an ability to provide alerts of new IMs via the Real-time notifications.
