ASUS today announced the launch of its P552w PDA phone that sports a touch-responsive Glide user interface for intuitive and interactive navigation and performance.

Powered by a Marvell Tavor 624MHz processor, the 3.5G HSDPA-capable PDA phone comes with SiRF StarIII GPS and seamless Google integration along ground-breaking Gester technology to perform a variety of navigational actions. It also includesGoogle Search Bar, Google Maps and ASUS SMS Location Link that enables users at two different locations to locate each other without any difficulty by sending each other SMS messages. Users can also select, zoom, scroll and flip with easy by using simple flicks of their fingers.

The other applications in the ASUS P552w include Multi-Home, Anytime Launcher, EziPhoto, and EziMusic for organizing and managing photos and music can also be accessed at your fingertips. It shows compatibility with a wide range of file formats for both video and audio playbacks.

In addition, Asus P552w also incorporates Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11b/g and USB connectivity. It also offers web content, including RSS newsfeeds, YouTube movies and photos on Flickr, for a complement of entertainment experience.

Based on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the PDA handset possesses a 2.8-inch TFT 65K color touchscreen display that offers QVG 240 x 320 pixel resolution, a 256MB Flash + 128MB DDR memory with microSD and SDHC support, a 2.0 megapixel camera with fixed focus function, and Java.

Other than that, the latest Asus PDA phone also offers various business application such as Word (editor), Excel (editor), Power Point (viewer), IE, Windows Live, MSN, Voice Commander and Push Email (Exchange Server).

The P552w has a battery life of 300 hours with 3G and 250 hours with 2G on standby mode and a talk time of 3 hours with 3G and 5 hours with 2G.
