Ascom unveils 9d24 EX – A Safe Wireless Handset for Hazardous Locations

 Ascom 9d24 EX Ascom, a leading developer of on-site wireless communications solutions, has introduced a new wireless handset, dubbed 9d24 EX. It has been designed to meet the authoritarian necessities for Class 1, Zone 1 and 2 hazardous locations. The latest device is expected to be certified for use in North America by the second quarter of this year.

An integral part of Ascom’s enterprise grade Freeset IP-DECT system, it flawlessly incorporates personal alarm functions, voice communication and advanced messaging. Based on the advanced technology of Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony (DECT) 6.0 standard, the Freeset IP-DECT system will neither cause nor experience interference from other wireless devices or electronic equipments.

Ascom’s 9d24 EX safe wireless handset is the best device to be used in harsh, unstable environments where inflammable concentrations of combustible gases or vapors are not always present, however such concentrations may exist occasionally even under normal conditions.
