Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphone launched by Verizon

BlackBerry Curve 8330 Verizon Wireless has announced t that hey will soon release RIM’s BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone via their network. It is designed with a liquid silver-colored finish with chrome highlights, smooth edges and soft curves.

The VZ Navigator-enabled device provides Verizon Wireless’ location-based service to users, giving accessibility to customers mapping, audible turn-by-turn navigation and access to information on more than 14 million points of interest. It also offers high-speed Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network, BlackBerry internet service with access to up to 10 supported POP3 and IMAP personal and corporate e-mail accounts such as most popular ISP e-mail accounts.

The latest smartphone from the Curve series features a large, vibrant 320×240 display, with light sensing technology to automatically adjust brightness, full QWERTY keyboard, noise cancellation technology, Speaker Independent Voice Recognition for Voice Activated Dialing (VCD), Bluetooth, 2.0 megapixel camera with enhanced 5x zoom, 3.5mm stereo headphone, media player and up to 8GB microSD/SDHC memory card slot.

In addition, it also includes BlackBerry Professional Software for small businesses and BlackBerry Enterprise Server for enterprise deployments for enabling advanced security. HTML web browser and Easy access to the popular Facebook are also incorporated into the smartphone.

USB Data Cable, travel charger and premium tote sleeve are few accessories that come in-box. The rechargeable battery offers up to 260 minutes of talk time and up to 11 days of standby time.

Priced at $269.99 (approx. Rs. 10,800), the BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone is slated to be available in May through Verizon.
