Some days back we had reported about the new mobile Nokia 8600 Luna– the upcoming phone from Nokia. The Luna is the FCC approved phone having Series 40 interface, semi-transparent hood, quad-band GPRS/EDGE internet connectivity (no 3G in sight), Bluetooth, and a 16 million color QVGA display.
Now the latest update is that Britain’s Carphone Warehouse electronics store has started selling Nokia 8600 Luna. However Nokia has not launched this stylish phone officially as yet. And at this moment Carphone Warehouse is the only store making Nokia 8600 available for consumers.
Nokia has listed this phone in ‘soon-to-be launched phones’ category on their website. Luna seems to have similar features as Nokia 8800 such as features a 2-megapixel camera, music player and FM radio etc.
The Carphone Warehouse stated that this was an exclusive offer available with them and all the orders of Luna would be delivered in following week. On the other hand Nokia has refused to comment on the whole scenario.
