Sanyo’s new Katana series of mobile devices has been leaked on one of the developer web pages. The handset is called the Sanyo SCP-8500 or the Katana DLX.
The Katana carries an EV-DO network, obligatory digi-cam and video camera functions, Bluetooth, 320 x 240 screen resolution with 262k colors. It also comes with an 80 x 80 external screen resolution, microSD slot and 96 megabytes of onboard memory.
The media playback support should be broad with AAC audio and H.264 video joining more typical MP3, MPEG-4, and other formats.
The A2DP support, availability and price are still unknown. But it is expected to be released soon.
