Mio Dig Walker A702 GPS PDA Phone with Mundu IM Announced

Mio Technology Ltd, a leading maker of GPS devices, has planned to pre-load its multi-purpose Mio Dig Walker A702 GPS PDA Phone with Mundu IM, a software from Geodesic Information Systems, a leader in mobile communications software.

Mundu IM will be compatible with the Mio Location-Based Application that offers social networking capabilities to users including,

  • Share location with friends – Users can share their current locations with their friends through the GPS capability of the device
  • Find a friend – Users can view selected friends or search friend’s location on a map and IM with them
  • Navigate to a friend – After searching the location of the IM contacts, users can navigate to them (driving directions)
  • Phone and email – With this, users can make phones calls to their friends or request friends to call them. User can also receive email notifications and can send emails to their friends.
  • Cross-conference chatting – Chat with friends on multiple IM accounts that include AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Google TalkTM, ICQ, and Jabber, and bring them into one seamless chat session
