Samsung SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 Mobile Phones now Powered by Broadband Chips

Broadcom Logo Broadcom Corp. has announced that Samsung’s SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 mobile phones will now be available with Broadcom’s broadband chips.

Samsung’s SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 3G phones will include Broadcom’s BCM2133 EDGE baseband processor, the BCM2141 WCDMA co-processor, the BCM2045 Bluetooth transceiver and the BCM59001 power management unit in the phone.

These chips’ inclusion in the phones will allows users to surf the Web and download data from the Internet at faster speeds.

Yossi Cohen, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom’s Mobile Platforms Group said, “Samsung is a recognized leader in the cellular industry, for its innovative designs, extremely aggressive project schedules and unique ability to integrate new devices and solutions into its portfolio very quickly.”

“These qualities match very well with Broadcom’s capabilities and aggressive engineering execution culture. The resulting combination is a promising future of delivering new products to market quickly, with the latest Broadcom technology,” he added.

These phones are likely to appear in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia markets soon.
