A sought after combination of smart functionality and quiet performance is what the latest entrant in India, the LG Hom Bot vacuum cleaning robot, claims to offer. This smart appliance featuring a slim 90mm design, is armed with dual eye camera and home mapping capabilities to ensure that it does not miss out on any spot.

The dual eye camera boasts of two lenses, one each on the top and bottom of the device. This dual camera mapping system analyzes the surroundings about 50 times per second to gather visual data. The lower camera’s Optical Flow Sensor obtains distance information and paths to follow, while the upper lens is responsible for mapping and remembering floor plans. It keeps the noise levels as low as 60db and is said to be the first of its kind to equip a digital bumper for hassle free mopping.

The five ultrasonic sensors pick out obstacles and its heightened sensors have been tilted upwards to eliminate the possibility of it bumping into overhanging items. Moreover, the vacuum cleaner detects low battery and charges itself through the dock in order to resume cleaning from where it left.
