Apple iPad 2 to be launched in India tomorrow

The Apple iPad tablet was launched in India around a few months back and since then enthusiasts have been hanging onto their hats for its successor the ‘iPad 2’ which is adorned by a stylish appearance and refined features. Well, the wait is finally over as the company will launch this device for Indian consumers starting tomorrow.

The Wi-Fi version of Apple iPad 2 is now available in Japan starting today and will be up for grabs in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Israel, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, UAE and India tomorrow. In addition, the Wi-Fi variant will hit shelves across China on May 6, 2011.

Equipped with a 9.7-inch LED-backlit LCD screen, the Apple iPad 2 tablet promises to render excellent performance levels and graphics with the integrated dual-core A5 processor. The device’s front-facing VGA camera can be used for FaceTime and PhotoBooth. The rear-facing camera enables users to capture crisp images and 720p HD videos. This lightweight offering is capable of delivering around 10 hours of battery life.

The 16GB Apple iPad 2 with Wi-Fi is priced at Rs. 29,500, 32GB at Rs. 34,500 and 64GB at Rs. 39,500. The 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G models can be picked up for Rs. 36,900, Rs. 41,900 and Rs. 46,900, respectively. The Smart Cover comes dressed in eye-catchy hues and can be snapped up in polyurethane or rich leather for Rs. 2,100 and Rs. 3,800, correspondingly.
