The Kanex 10 foot MHL adapter and passive cable have been introduced to establish connections between an MHL equipped mobile device and television or HDTV. MHL connections are said to have been integrated in smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Evo View 4G, HTC Sensation, LG Nitro HD and Samsung Infuse 4G amongst others.
The Kanex 10 foot adapter and cable allow users to stream digital content like pictures, videos, games and more to HDTVs in full 1080p resolution at 60Hz picture quality. They also promise to deliver high quality audio through 7.1 channel surround sound. The Kanex adapter turns the television set into a desktop as it can be used to connect a keyboard or a mouse. Additionally, the cable lets users control the mobile device through the TV’s remote and also charges it through the display in the MHL mode.
