Basically, touchscreen devices utilize an electrical charge to detect the point of contact in order to execute functions. User’s fingers cause disturbance in the electrostatic field which is measured by sensors on or around the screen to locate the touch. However, most gloves are electrical insulators and do not let devices detect the touch.
As opposed to other gloves, the TouchAbility gloves feature genuine silver thread in all its 10 fingers. Silver being an electrical conductor, allows the wearer’s electrical impulse to pass through it to carry out functions on the multi-touch gadgets. They also work with high-end Apple devices and most other tablets. Also, these gloves are designed to hide the silver thread to make them look like conventional ones.
As all fingers are integrated with silver thread, users can easily operate computers and tablets which recognize gestures requiring three or four fingers.
