BOSS recently unleashed the new ME-25 Guitar Multiple Effects for music fiends, augmenting its range of floor-based multi-effects. This compact, durable ME-25 employs high-quality sounds from the flagship ME-70. Further, it also bundles a ton of BOSS tone tools into an affordable form factor.
The quick and easy user interface is aptly designed for both professionals and newcomers, while the ME-25 offers full complement of COSM amplifier models. About 60 effects combinations for a broad range of playing styles make up its onboard Sound library. It also runs on six AA batteries or AC power alongside offers portability.
The ME-25 has been stocked of the best BOSS effects — distortions, overdrives, modulation effects, delay, reverb, harmonist, and more. Its built-in expression pedal offers control over a number of pedal effects such as wah, octave up/down, and unique freeze effect.
Three heavy-duty footswitches ensure that users select sounds and perform other functions like accessing built-in tuner, tapping in delay times, and also enabling the SOLO feature. It is also claimed to be the first multiple effect processor at a price point it offers, to pack in BOSS’ COSM amp-modeling technology.
It brings to users a range of classic amps from combos to raging stacks along with a Super Stack function. While a 38-second looper has been included for real-time sound-on-sound recording. Some more attributes include USB connectivity and Cakewalk SONAR 8.5 LE for multi-track audio and MIDI recording.
BOSS has started shipping the ME-25 at a retail price of $276.50 (approx Rs. 12,250).
