Here is good news for all the iPod Shuffle fans (if there are any) as Apple unveils the all-new iPod Shuffle. As we know Apple goes sleeker and sleeker with each new product, the new iPod Shuffle is no different and is almost half the size of the earlier miniscule model. Well, a reason to love the device is its new VoiceOver feature that speaks your song titles, artists and playlist names. However, it isn’t clear if it will make up for the absence of a display.
This third generation iPod shuffle is smaller than an AA battery and can hold up to 1,000 songs and you can easily and conveniently use it with the controls on the earphone cord. Sporting a new aluminum design and a wearable built-in stainless steel clip, it lets you play, pause, adjust volume, switch playlists and hear the name of the song and artist just with the press of a button.

The device speaks out the name of the song and artist with a press of a button and the device also tells you other status information like battery life. Switch between multiple playlists on your iPod shuffle and it speaks in fourteen languages such as English, Czech, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Greek, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
This incredibly small device offers up to 10 hours of battery life. It requires a Mac/Windows PC with USB 2.0 port, Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later, Windows Vista, Windows XP Home or Professional (Service Pack 3) or later and iTunes 8.1 or later.
Apple’s third generation 4GB iPod shuffle lets you choose between silver and black colors and is available in India at a maximum retail price of Rs.4,900 through Apple Authorised Resellers. It also includes the Apple Earphones with Remote and a USB cable.
