Techsol TPC-43C Touch Panel Computer unleashed

An eco-friendly computing device has finally hit the markets. Techsol recently introduced a Touch Panel computer christened TPC-43C. This low carbon-footprint computer ships with the proven Medallion Linux 2.6.

The device boasts of a WqVGA (480 x 272) 4.3-inch color, TFT LCD panel in landscape format with adjustable LED backlight and touch panel. The computing device is driven by 32-bit ARM9 processor, 64MB of SDRAM and 128MB of NAND Flash. With Power-Over-Ethernet, the installation cost is considerably reduced.

“The rugged enclosure is made from recycled steel. It’s welded and then powder-coat painted for a durable finish. Steel is also recycled in most North American cities, so the materials can be economically recycled again in the future. Compared to a plastic enclosure, this offers the advantages of sustainable materials and a reduced carbon-footprint, as steel production consumes less energy than alloys or plastics,” remarked Brian Empey, P.Eng., CEO of Techsol.

The Techsol device supports 10/100-BaseT Ethernet interface with RJ-45 connector with integrated LED status indicators. This wall-mount product measures 178mm x 100mm x 9mm. For memory expansion, the TPC-43C incorporates hidden memory card connector for SD and MMC cards.
