Motorola USBw 100 WiMAX adaptor launched

Motorola USBw 100 Motorola launches its new WiMAX USB adaptor called USBw 100 for the PCs or laptops that do not support Wi-Fi connectivity. It offers high-speed, wireless broadband while on the go.

The USBw 100 easily connects to any laptop with multiple antennas which boost the signals, thus offer coverage even in places that are difficult to reach. This tiny device offers three versions to connect to WiMAX networks.

The device can be directly plugged into laptop computers via USB ports. It supports three frequencies 2.3GHz, 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz.

Apparently, the pricing will be stated by the operators offering it as part of a service plan.

The Motorola USBw 100 adaptor is expected to be released by Q4 2008.
