Orange Read&Go e-book Reader Introduced

Orange France has launched an e-book reader in collaboration with French newspapers. Known as Read&Go, the 3G-connected mobile newspaper kiosk offers easy-to-use mobile reading. A digital terminal with e-paper technology enables working without the backlighting of traditional LCD screens because of the polarized microbead screen.

Consumers can read newspapers such as Le Monde, Le Parisien, Les Echos, L’Equipe and Télérama in a high level of contrast. Sadly, it does not sport a keyboard.

It refreshes every hour with the latest information from their electronic editions. The features of the Read&Go e-book reader is Wi-Fi/3G coupled connectivity with a dedicated distribution platform, integrated 30 books, 1GB of storage space to hold over 200 newspapers.

Along with browsing capability, users will also get to see e-library of more than 30 books that comprises of literature, strip cartoons, children’s and practical publications and many more. These useful contents are offered by Feedbooks, Médiatoon (Dargaud, Dupuis, Lombard et Kana) and Mango editions.

Both the companies plan to provide the first 150 Read&Go as trials, allowing testers to gain access to it for free for two months. Price and availability details are still under curtains.
