The MX-980 is one step forward in the Universal Remote Controls’ arena. It helps control up to eight activities and devices simultaneously.
With a 320×240 LCD that supports BMP, JPEG, PNG, GIF, as well as animated GIF files, users can customize the controls for the activities they wish to control. The device is apparently an effective integration for modern Home Theaters and centralized home audio video systems.
The device has LISTEN and WATCH buttons that control the said activities for users. The DVD to TV switch is as convenient as pressing the WATCH button. Also, if the user wants to listen to a CD or the radio, all he needs to do is press the LISTEN button.
The MX-980 has a motion sensor that helps detect when it is picked up. On that trigger, the remote starts the display and blue back-lighting automatically. This ensures that the device can be used effectively even in the dark.
Other features of the remote control are a time/date display and a small integrated speaker. Also, the device is powered by rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
