In a new partnership in the audio visual control solutions industry, Actis Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a provider of audio visual and environment control solutions in India, has teamed up with LifeSize, a high definition (HD) video communications service and product provider, to offer high definition video communications solutions to the industry. This partnership will enable Actis to provide both big, mid-level, and small organizations with high quality life-like experience over video conferencing.
India apparently has the third largest market for Telepresence or lifelike meeting experience in the region and Actis says they are going a step further to tap this market potential with the help of this alliance.
“Video conferencing is fast moving to become the extensively used mode of communication especially in the corporate set up. Telepresence is the new buzzword in this sector. Though it is usually used by big multinationals it can help corporates in cutting down travel cost. Also with companies having more than one setup, the need for multi-party conferencing is a necessity,” said Abhimanyu Gupta, Director, Actis Technologies, in reference to their tie up with Life Size.
Until now Actis’ product range did not include high definition products. However with the latest partnership, Actis makes a foray into the high definition video conferencing market. Lifesize’s latest range of high end HD video conferencing is meant to compliment Actis’ range of Codian MCUs, which support Continuous Presence by streaming.
