Parrot has launched its latest hands-free Bluetooth car kit line of products through Circuit City, one of the largest consumer electronics retailers. The three models in this line include the Parrot CK3000 Evolution, Parrot CK3100 LCD and Parrot 3200 LS-COLOR.
“Having Circuit City launch the Parrot car kit portfolio nationwide will help consumers more easily find the hands-free Bluetooth car kits they want. And, Parrot will also be the largest line of installed Bluetooth car kits that Circuit City offers,†shares Ed Valdez, president and COO of Parrot Inc.
The Parrot CK3000 Evolution, CK3100 LCD and 3200 LS-COLOR professionally installed car kits have been hard-wired into a vehicle’s audio system. All the three devices enable users to enjoy hands-free calling, voice-controlled phone capability, excellent audio quality and automatic mute of the vehicle stereo during making or receiving calls.
“With an increasing number of states banning the use of hand-held cell phones while driving, Circuit City will be well-positioned to respond to consumers’ needs to make a smart choice in using hands-free car kits with the wireless convenience of Bluetooth technology. Already New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and several cities require hands-free devices in vehicles, and by July 1, 2008, California and Washington will join them. This will create a huge market totaling nearly 80 million consumers and more than 65 million vehicles,†added Valdez.
All the three Parrot devices provide audible caller IDs when voice tags have been assigned to contacts in its phone book. The only difference is that the CK3100 delivers display along with the caller ID. In addition, LS-COLOR features color caller ID, and displays both the phone number and caller’s photo if they have been assigned voice tags.
CK3000 Evolution also has a small control unit that allows it to be mounted discretely on the instrument panel.
Parrot said that more than 600 Circuit City stores will offer the Parrot’s entire car kit line. You can also purchase the parrot devices online from Circuit City’s official website.
