Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook, ThinkPad notebooks introduced

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 01

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook that ‘shatters the mold of traditional laptops,’ has made its debut along with a number of other ThinkPad devices belonging to the T, X, L and W series. These ThinkPad notebooks will be made available in screen configurations between 12 inches and 15 inches and are said to be capable enough to act as mobile workstations.

The X1 Carbon apparently exceeds the Ultrabook specifications, considering that it uses a premium carbon fiber rollcage. Additionally, this construction also ensures durability and a lightweight chassis, which tips the scale at less than 3 pounds. Besides the Intel processor, it incorporates the Intel vPro technology in addition to Lenovo RapidCharge to charge the device completely in not more than 30 minutes. It should keep users entertained as well as productive on the move.

“We crafted the ThinkPad X1 Carbon with premium carbon fiber material in order to make it incredibly thin and light, yet durable. Our new ThinkPad laptop portfolio embodies much of the innovative thinking exemplified in the X1 Carbon, such as a backlit keyboard, super-bright high definition display, Dolby Home Theatre and rich communications features that balance business performance with personal use,” quoted Lu Yan, senior vice president, Think Product Group, Lenovo.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Windows based laptops draw power from the third generation Intel Core processors and include Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3.0 and RapidBoot technology. The ThinkPad Precision keyboard, Dolby audio and 300 NIT HD+ panels are some of the other features of these devices. Select notebooks extend support to the 4G LTE network speed too.
